What we do
For decades, skilled developers have built real businesses on closed platforms. That worked — until the terms changed. Perpetual licenses became subscriptions, source code became something you rent, and AI began rewriting how software gets built. wxKanban exists to get you across that gap safely: we convert your existing application — database, business logic, and screens — onto a modern stack on open foundations, with AI doing the heavy lifting while you keep the judgment, the control, and the ownership.
Why it exists
We've watched this happen before — more than once, capable people built their careers on a development environment, then found themselves trapped by it. The way out was never about memorizing the newest syntax. It was about understanding how software actually gets built, and carrying that judgment from one platform to the next. That skill — the full lifecycle, from messy reality to a clean, tested, shipped result — is exactly what AI-assisted development still demands. wxKanban is built to honor the experience you already have and hand you the new tools to use it.

This product began life as a WINDEV application — we converted it, data, procedures, screens, and all, into a modern AI-built full-stack app using the very method we offer you. More than a tool — a way of working
The other side of the bridge isn't an empty stack. wxKanban is a spec-driven development environment: a guided six-phase lifecycle — Design → Implementation → QA → Human Testing → Beta → Release — where nothing ships without an approved spec, tests, and sign-off, so AI never runs away with your project. Just as importantly, it keeps your specs and documentation consistent as the software evolves, so future changes update the record instead of drifting out of date.

Who's behind it
wxKanban is made by wxperts, founded by Andy “Cowboy” Stapleton — who has spent 40+ years crossing every major platform shift, from mainframe to web to cloud, and helping other developers do the same. wxKanban is the tool he wished existed every one of those times.
